2010 Rays

Opening Day-  It felt like Christmas… I couldn’t wait!

Orioles series- good start, felt like we played catch up ball. Not a fan of that, but who is… Wanting to start off this season with a sweep. Rays won the first two.

Last nights game. Errrrrr. I wasn’t happy – had to put the broom away.

First, Super Tall, JRG (Jolly Ray Giant) – AKA- Jeff Niemann. Was throwing smoke, he looked great. Then hit by comebacker from Tejada, square into right shoulder. He still managed to get the 1-3 putout, in a way I’ve never seen. Honestly, I think he HAS to be the tallest pitcher in MLB, and I said think … If anyone knows of a pitcher taller than 6’9″ …

Please let me know. (If he were only a few inches shorter, probably would’ve missed him)

Secondly, the bad calls. CC had that ball you could tell by his reaction. Also we all saw the replay. The base stealing was sad! Longo picked off for first time… Ugh!

So, I look forward to tonight’s game, a weekend of good baseball and banter with my Yankee- Stankee friends! Maybe my hopes of a sweep will come true!

I’d love for the Rays to win this series! Actually, I love the Stanks losing period!
